The Impossible Job: Why Sherwood IS The Right Man To Lead Spurs Forward

Tottenham Hotspur will only have themselves to blame should they fail to qualify for the Champions League next season. Sources from Sky Sports have stated that their manager Tim Sherwood has until the end of the campaign before his brief tenure at White Hart Lane is brought to an end.

    Liverpool v Spurs LIVE!

Hello and welcome to the #RioChallenge Live Blog brought to you by Strongbow, where Liverpool will be looking to keep in the title fight with a win over Tim Sherwood’s Spurs.

Liverpool have won seven games in a row and are yet to register a loss in 2014. Rodgers will again be relying on the striking prowess of Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge, who between them have 48 goals this season.

Sherwood’s side avoided three straight losses with a win over Southampton in mid-week and he will be waiting on the fitness of Emmanuel Adebayor, with Roberto Soldado looking to start as a lone striker up top.

Aside from the action, you can get yourself in with a chance of winning a trip to Rio de Janeiro to play one of Brazil’s best female five-a-side teams, all you have to do is sign you and your mates up here: bit.ly/riochallenge

Why Tim Sherwood Would Be Unlucky To Leave Spurs In The Summer

Tim Sherwood has done a reasonably good job since taking over from Andre Villas-Boas, back in December. He has cemented Spurs to fifth position in the league and is hopeful he can continue in the hot-seat next season and place a challenge for the top four.

Tottenham: Sherwood Wise To Take The Pressure Away From His Players

Ahead of his side's narrow victory at home to Cardiff, Tim Sherwood admitted he was under no illusions about the pressure he was under at White Hart Lane. In my eyes this was a clever move by the Spurs manager, as he deflected all of the attention away from his players, in a game they had to win to keep their ambition for a Champions League place alive.

Arsenal CAN Win The Premier League: Why Wilshere Is Right About Gunners' Title Hopes

Having gone more than eight years without a trophy it would be a disaster for Arsenal to end the current campaign without a piece of silverware. Despite only winning two of their last six league games, Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is adamant that his side are well within the title race. After Saturday’s defeat against Stoke City, Arsene Wenger was quick to downplay his side’s title chances, but I think that Wilshere is correct in maintaining that Arsenal are still well in the hunt for the Premier League trophy.

Manchester United And Spurs Watching Serie A Midfielder, But What Could He Offer? Player Report

It used to be a case that when Manchester United wanted a player, they duly got that player when the next transfer rolled around. Now, though, while they continue their struggle under David Moyes, no one knows whether they have the pulling ability that they did under Sir Alex Ferguson. We could find out sooner rather than later as the Express are reporting that they could go up against Tottenham for the services of Inter midfielder Fredy Guarin. But who is he?

Southampton Have Proved That They’re The Real Deal

Avid Premier League watchers might have dismissed Southampton’s top-four surge as a merely good form, especially having seen recent similar surges fade away as the season progressed - examples of this may include Newcastle and to some extent Hull City before them. However, this season, it seems as if Southampton are here to stay.

Why Sam Allardyce Is Treading On Thin Ice

After Fulham's 2-1 home loss to Swansea on Saturday Fulham manager, Martin Jol cut a dejected figure in his post match interview, almost as if he knew the end was nigh and that Jonjo Shelvey's late winner was the final nail in his coffin.

Why Chris Smalling Should Have Gone Out On Loan

Chris Smalling seems to be one of Roy Hodgson’s ‘teacher’s pets’ within the England squad. This is perhaps down to the fact he gave him his big break by putting him in the first team at Fulham which then enabled him to get a move to Old Trafford.  In his first season at United, Smalling impressed so much that he was named on the bench for the 2011 Champions League Final against Barcelona ahead of the more experienced Jonny Evans.
