Arsenal The Wrong Club For Bundesliga Star: Why Draxler Should Reject Gunners Move

Julian Draxler has been linked with a move from German side, Schalke, to Arsenal since early January. The Gunners failed to make a deal happen in the latter stages of the January window, much to the frustration of the Arsenal fans.

Why Lukas Podolski Should Leave Arsenal

I'm undecided on Lukas Podolski and his impact at Arsenal. On one hand, his clinical nature has been a very welcome addition, but on the other he doesn't often complete the full 90 minutes and has been injured for a sizeable chunk of his career at Arsenal. With interest coming from Inter Milan, supposedly, it could result in the German attacker leaving the north London club. IBI Times have reported that while Inter Milan officials were in London, discussing a move for Bacary Sagna, they also enquired into Podolski's availability.

Wenger Needs To Be More Ruthless To Secure Griezmann Deal

It has been reported in the Daily Star that Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger is more than interested in bringing French hotshot Antoine Griezmann to the Emirates. It was claimed by Real Sociedad that they rejected a bid in the January transfer window for the 22-year-old in the region of £15 million.

THREE Reasons Why Arsenal Should Forget About Signing £37m Playmaker

With The Guardian suggesting that Arsenal are in talks with Schalke playmaker Julian Draxler, who has a buy-out clause of around £37m according to the same reports, it got me thinking. Do the Gunners need the youngster, or is it a case of panic buying? I am leaning towards the latter. Here are three reasons why I think Arsenal should forget about signing the Germany international.

Arsenal Odds-On To Sign Draxler, But Would It Be A Good Move?

With just a handful of days left of the January transfer window, we can expect to see a flurry of activity across the country in terms of transfers. There have already been a few high profile deals go through - Juan Mata to Manchester United and Nemanja Matic to Chelsea the two that stand out for me - but I have a feeling there could be plenty more, with this being one of them. Arsenal are now being priced (by Sky Bet) at a staggering 1/4 to sign Schalke playmaker Julian Draxler.

Draxler vs De Bruyne: Would It Be A Fair Swap? The Statistics

After reports from top German source SportBild saying there could be some sort of swap deal between Chelsea and Schalke for the services of Kevin de Bruyne and Julian Draxler, I thought that I would compare the two statistically. Who would get the better deal, if any?

5 Players Who Could Soon Arrive At The Emirates Stadium

Arsenal always have a number of players linked with them every day of the year. Because of the huge differences in the players they buy in terms of age and what league they are in, there are often plenty of rumours linking them with cheap Ligue 2 players, for example. However, after signing Mesut Ozil, they're now being linked with big players, which has definitely been the case this past week.

Draxler Confirms Interest In Arsenal Move, But Where Would He Fit In With Current Crop?

Arsenal are slowly incorporating a spine of German players into their side. Per Mertesacker, Lukas Podolski and Mesut Ozil are the trio who are currently key players in the side, and the Gunners also hold Serge Gnabry, Gedion Zelalem and Thomas Eisfeld on the fringes. Now the Metro are reporting that there could be another arriving in north London in the shape of Julian Draxler, although not in January.

Julian Draxler - The Next Big Thing

I realise the statement that I made in the title is rather bold, but if you've seen him over an extended period of time then you'll realise my statement isn't as bold as first thought. The 19-year-old German has spent his entire professional career at Schalke and most of his youth days as well. He also plays for the German national team, which says an awful lot about the quality of the player if he already features for Germany at his age.
