Brendan Rodgers is believed to considering submitting a bid in the region of £30 million to Borussia Dortmund for attacker Marco Reus. Reus, 25, recently turned down a contract extension with the 2013/14 Bundesliga runners-up. With the first-team off in America in their pre-season tour, Manchester City’s U-21 side were looking to continue in their winning ways in their pre-season training camp in Croatia, when racism reared its ugly head yet again.
