It is difficult to fully comprehend all the incidents that have happened both on and off the pitch in the past eight months at Tottenham Hotspur.
Here we are again in the dark gloomy recess of a cold January and Premier League managers are bemoaning the lack of available talent currently on the market that could augment their squads.
I have good news: Premier League football is back! No more useless friendlies until March! Hooray! Back to a good standard of football! Three cheers!
Andre Villas-Boas was one busy bee this summer. With a huge transfer budget to dig into thanks to the impending Gareth Bale move, he moved for several players. They have made a good start to this season, sitting three points off the top in fifth. But, for me at least, some players haven’t quite hit the mark.

The 23-year-old, already hailed as the reincarnation of the retiring Mark van Bommel, is a solid addition to the capital side which already boasts the talents of the loyal Daniele De Rossi and growing fan favourite Michael Bradley. And with ageless genius Francesco Totti taking care of the creative side of things, aided by the mercurial Erik Lamela (and when he’s bothered, troubled yet gifted striker Pablo Osvaldo), this could just be the Giallorossi’s year.
For a footballing nation like that of Argentina, the attacking threat available for selection is simply astounding.
