Arsenal Must Aim Higher Than Former Chelsea Winger - Here's Why

The positions of 'winger' at Arsenal is one of great discussion when you really dig around on forums and blogs. There's no doubt that Arsenal have a selection of fine wide men.

They have Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Serge Gnabry and Lukas Podolski to boast. However, with Walcott absent since January and Chamberlain and Podolski having spells on the sidelines throughout the season. It has left Arsenal quite bare out wide and they have suffered as a consequence. But with talent there in the summer, the purchase of a winger can be considered as a luxury signing.

The Mirror have linked Arsenal with a move for ex-Chelsea star, Saloman Kalou in a bid to bolster their wide options. 

However, I think Arsenal should be aiming higher than the talents of Kalou. Arsenal have been touted to have a lot of money available this summer and, although the wide position isn't top priority, they should and could aim higher than him.

With Julian Draxler constantly linked with the north London club, Wenger should just go all out and get as few top talents to really give them a chance next season. Personally, I doubt Kalou will be that star player.

I also think that Arsenal need another marquee signing, like Mesut Ozil, to give the team that boost in confidence. A signing to give the fans something to stun and excite them.
