As Chelsea look to pack their midfielder, one man who could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge is John Obi Mikel.  The 27-year-old only featured in 24 Premier League games last season, and now looks set to struggle even more for a place in the Blues’ lineup.

THREE World Cup Finalists Arsenal Should Sign

The World Cup semi-finals got off to an unbelievable start as host nation Brazil were humiliated in front of their eager fans, who were already hurt with the news of Neymar missing the rest of the tournament. Within half an hour, Brazil were 5-0 down and on their way out. Germany scored two more before Brazil managed to grab a consolation. The next semi-final was very disappointing as, after a dull 120 minutes, four decent penalties from Argentina sealed the Netherlands' fate.

Chelsea Linked With Filipe Luis and Marcos Rojo - Why Both Players Could Replace Ashley Cole

After eight years with the London club, former England left-back Ashley Cole decided it was right to call time on his Chelsea career and look elsewhere. This week Cole was signed by Italian club Roma and can now look forward to the new challenges that lie ahead. There are many left-backs that have been linked with the Blues that could take his place but, after being such an influential player, it is important that Jose Mourinho chooses wisely.

Di Maria Linked With Old Trafford Move - Why Real Madrid Star Would Be Perfect For Manchester United

Real Madrid are set for a huge summer of potential incomings and outgoings, with plenty of names that can be assigned to each list. Radamel Falcao, Toni Kroos and Luiz Gustavo are dominating the incomings, while Alvaro Morata, Angel Di Maria and Sami Khedira are dominating the outgoings. Whatever happens at Madrid, it is almost guaranteed that whoever they sell will be replaced with quality. Manchester United are hoping to do the same thing, as they have already bought Luke Shaw to replace Alexander Buttner, as well as Ander Herrera to help ease their midfield troubles.

A Closer Look At Manchester United And Chelsea's EIGHT-Year-Old Target Dubbed 'The Next Messi'

When I was eight years old, football was about the entire team rushing to the ball in order to get a touch to impress the proud parents on the touchline. A lot of the time it was one-touch football, merely because none of us had the technical facility, or in fact an awareness of what we were doing, and it was all kick and rush. Bad coaching, perhaps, or just the fact that were only eight. However, astonishingly, the Mirror are reporting that Chelsea and Manchester United are fighting for the signature of Claudio Gabriel Nancufil, who at just eight years of age is being likened to Lionel Messi.

One way to deal with hooliganism (Video)

Football hooliganism has, thankfully, not been a problem in our country for some years now. Unfortunately, there is still the odd occasion (Milwall at last year's FA Cup semi-final, for example) but on the whole it is generally quite a safe experience going to a football match these days.

Former Liverpool midfielder sent off for kicking a medic (video)

It's a widely known fact that Argentina's Javier Mascherano doesn't possess the sort of character one might expect of a model professional but, even by his standards, kicking out at a medic is surely a step too far.

Time running out for fancied Uruguay

If you were asked to name a dark horse for the World Cup next Summer it is fair to say that more than a few individuals would suggest Uruguay as a team who fit such a tag given their wealth of talent, impressive fourth place last time out and the fact that they are the current COPA America Champions.
