The Daily Mail has reported that Chelsea striker Fernando Torres is still wanted by Inter, who are trying to rebuild their squad. But is a move right for Torres?
Wayne Rooney declared in a recent interview with ‘Inside United’ that he would love to take over the captaincy at Manchester United from the departing Nemanja Vidic, who is on his way to Inter Milan in the summer.
It's no longer just a rumor anymore, it’s been confirmed by multiple sources that Manchester United defender and captain Nemanja Vidic is ending his time at Old Trafford and will be signing with Italian giants Inter Milan at the season's end.
The Daily Star reports that Inter Milan are looking to raid another of England’s top clubs. This time their target is Arsenal’s Germany international Lukas Podolski.
Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic will join Inter Milan in the summer, according to reports. The Serie A giants have confirmed the 32-year-old central defender has signed for them, although they have not revealed the length of the Serbian’s contract.
A couple of days after Wayne Rooney signed a massive four year extension to his Manchester United contract, him and his side travelled to Greece for the first in the two leg round of 16 Champions League match against Olympiakos. And well, we all know what happened next.
If there was one player in the Premier League who could be labelled as a warrior, then there would be no doubt it would this man. Nemanja Vidic has been a remarkable servant for Manchester United since he arrived from Spartak Moscow in 2006, playing almost 300 first team games and chipping in with 19 goals. Now though it looks to be his final season at Old Trafford, as his contract runs out at the end of the season and his agent has told the Daily Mail that he probably won't be extending.
Nemanja Vidic is a real warrior of a player and has served Manchester United admirably over the years. He arrived from Spartak Moscow in 2006and has since established himself as a fan favourite - playing 276 games for the Old Trafford club and scoring 18 goals. And now, alongside Michael Carrick, he has signed a contract extension according to the Daily Star, which is my opinion could be David Moyes' best move since taking over from Sir Alex Ferguson.
I've recently looked at free agents who are available at the moment which is all well and good, but I'd like to take a look at potential free agents next summer who I'm sure managers are more interested in as well. Some of the players on this list may surprise you as you may be shocked that they haven't been offered a new contract yet, but they are technically free agents next summer at the moment. Things could change and many of these players may sign a new deal, but if not then there are plenty of bargains to be had.
Every team needs a solid defence to rely on. And within that defence they need a leader - a man who isn’t afraid to put there foot in where it may hurt. These men are usually the best around, and the five below definitely are.
Manchester United beware - apparently Juventus have not finished in the current transfer window. Their shopping list of players might conclude with Serbia international Nemanja Vidic.
Manchester United are frail at the back and there is no hiding it
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson earlier today claimed that if his side play as they against Reading when they take on Manchester City at the weekend, then, as he put it, “god knows what will happen”.
Sir Alex Ferguson joked that if his team did not improve their defending ahead of the Manchester derby next weekend he would play himself instead.
