Arsenal: Why Lukas Podolski Would Flourish At Inter Milan

The Daily Star reports that Inter Milan are looking to raid another of England’s top clubs. This time their target is Arsenal’s Germany international Lukas Podolski.
Podolski has struggled to make a major impact this season and has been hit by a few different injuries, but many believe that Arsene Wenger has lost faith in the former Koln man.
When Giroud has been tired or out of form, Wenger has been reluctant to put Podolski into the starting line-up, despite previously calling him the “best finisher in the club.”
With the competition for places in the German national side at an all-time high, would Podolski want to risk his ‘prime’ years sitting on the Emirates bench?
Inter Milan are currently going through a transitional period and sit fifth in Serie A, four points off Fiorentina and Champions League football.
With the signing of Vidic already confirmed, if Internazionale could snap up a German international with 111 caps that would be an impressive feat.
If the deal was to go ahead, I think Podolski would rediscover his goal scoring exploits in Italy.
The pace of the game in Italy is nowhere near what it is in the Premier League or La Liga and also he would be given the opportunity to play centrally.
It is more about moving to ball slowly, with patience looking for the right opening and creating simple chances. Chances which a player of Podolski’s ability would take with ease.
