Liverpool Linked With Yet Another Southampton Star - How The Reds Could Continue Their Recruitment Of Saints Players

Not for quite some time has one side been targeted so much during a transfer window.  This summer has seen Southampton lose their manager and several of their key players, with most of them interestingly all heading to the same club.  Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and now Dejan Lovren have joined Liverpool, whilst Calum Chambers, touted as a star of the future, has moved to Arsenal.  French midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has attracted the interest of several sides, but the latest name to be linked with a transfer is that of arguably the most important player they have left.

Why Liverpool Should Move For Championship Striker With 11 Goals In 17 Games - Player Report

Burnley may have dropped to third in the Championship table, but the Lancashire club will still feel positive about their chances of being promoted to the Premier League come the end of the season. However, that could depend on whether they can keep hold of their top scorer, Danny Ings, who is apparently a target for Liverpool.

      Jermaine Beckford: Goalscorer (Video)

Jermaine Beckford saw his competitive debut for Bolton end in a draw against Burnley at Turf Moor.  He didn’t get on the scoresheet this weekend, but don’t expect that to happen too often.

The Ghost Of 3rd Rounds Past

The start of January is supposed to be a time for looking forward and making changes in your life. In reality, most people's resolutions fade away by January 7th, so it seems right to me that this year 7th January is FA Cup 3rd round day, because now all it reminds me is of a New Years resolution gone wrong.

      QPR, you ready to party?

1995. I remember it well. The Britpop wars were raging, with Oasis' meat & potatoes rock battling Blur's mockney sing-alongs for pop chart supremacy. At the movies, David Fincher, Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman made an instant classic with Se7en whilst Bruce dug out the white vest again for Die Hard with a Vengeance. On the telly, Men Behaving Badly had hit its peak of laddishness. Southend were comfortably treading water in mid-table again. I was living at home, young free and single.

      The Fear Factor

The last two seasons have given us every reason to love the top flight game at its best. Cast your mind back a few years ago to this point in the season in 2008 or 2009 and the Premier League table would already be depicting the slow suffocation of those teams in the bottom half of the table. The top four were dominant and getting stronger, and the rest were left to lash it out amongst themselves.
