After looking at Yaya Sangogo in my previous article, I thought I'd have a closer look at Arsenal's French midfielder Mathieu Flamini. Now if your memory serves you well, you will remember the name Mathieu Flamini as the player had previously spent time in the Premier League. In fact, he spent his previous time with Arsenal, when the Gunners had a midfield which included Alex Hleb, Francesc Fabregas and Tomas Rosicky. This time round, though, the Frenchman will be playing alongside Mesut Ozil, Santi Cazorla, Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey to name a few. It's a change, yes, but the quality of players around him remains the same, if not better.

I see this summer being a hugely positive one for Tottenham, despite their talisman Gareth Bale jumping ship to Real Madrid. They secured a deal for Roberto Soldado, who has already scored two in three games, and also added cover to the wider areas of the field in the shapes of Nacer Chadli and Erik Lamela, as well as getting Andros Townsend back.

It seems an exciting time to be a Tottenham fan. Andre Villas-Boas has recruited Brazil international Paulinho, winger Nacer Chadli, French midfielder Etienne Capoue and Spanish striker Roberto Soldado - who has already scored two goals in two games so far this summer. Erik Lamela and Christian Eriksen are also both thought to be on their way to White Hart Lane, but without Gareth Bale - who is fancied to finally secure his move to Real Madrid in the coming days, can Spurs think about challenging for the Premier League title? Well, if they were to clinch a deal for Manchester United forward Javier Hernandez, as the Mirror suggest, then I'd argue that they can.
