Problems Arise With Remy's Liverpool Medical - Why Brendan Rodgers' Side Have Missed Out On A Proven Goalscorer

With the completion of his move to Liverpool seemingly imminent, Loic Remy’s future has taken a drastic turn.  According to the Telegraph, a failed medical has dashed the striker’s hopes of joining the Reds this summer.

Despite reported interest from Arsenal, Remy heading to Anfield had seemed like a certainty during the last week.  The QPR forward, who spent last season on loan at Newcastle, appeared set to replace some of the Merseyside club’s attacking threat after Luis Suarez’s departure to Barcelona.  As that no longer seems to be the case, Liverpool supporters would be quite right to be disappointed.

A France international, Remy represented his country at this summer’s World Cup in Brazil.  A record of 24 caps and 5 goals since 2009 may not be massively impressive, but it is the Frenchman’s form at club level that has gained him admirers.  Scoring 14 times in 26 Premier League games last season, he also netted 6 in 14 as QPR were relegated the previous year.  Following on from success in his homeland, this demonstration of being able to cut it in England’s top flight is what makes the 27-year-old so valuable.

Liverpool may now be forced to look elsewhere given the results of Remy’s medical.  Reds fans will hope that their medical department made the right call, but if the player continues to perform for whoever he is representing next season then it could be viewed as a missed opportunity for the club.

Rodgers EGO will cost Liverpool Football Club their place at the top table, not only have his buys been SHAMBOLIC bar Sturridge & Coutinho. But Liverpool will only ever get a quarter of what they our worth.Allen Borini Assaidi Aspas Alberto Yesil Ilori Sakho EVEN Mignolet have done nothing too justify their inclusion in the first team. And now we have Champions League he says " We will now buy a better quality of player " Well I'm sorry but I don't find a 32 year old Journeyman ( Lambert ) A Turkish / German unknown.A one season wonder ( Lallana who isn't prolific at scoring or assisting, and now will be probably be out for season ) Markovic was totally overpaid for,and will take a few years to get to grips with the Premier League.Even Lovren isn't worth £20 Million Pounds ;-( Why is he buying all mid-table clubs players,if Liverpool end up in mid-table he only has himself too blame ( AND SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM HIS POST,INFACT I THINK HE WON'T LAST THIS SEASON ) Due too arsenal Chelsea City Utd buying quality additions.
