According to ITV, Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood is ready to allow some of his fringe players to leave the club this month, as long as they are not in his plans. The former player inherited a side crammed with talent but with only a certain amount of players needed, some were always going to miss out. But who should he be looking to offload? Here are three names I put forward.

Ask any Spurs fan if they have enjoyed this season and I am sure the majority would say no, although there have certainly been perks. With all the changes behind the scenes and the losses to London rivals Arsenal and West Ham, twice, things could have gone better. A lot better. But I am here to suggest to Tim Sherwood that he needs to make a few changes this month to spark the Spurs revival.

It is no secret that finding the back of the net for Tottenham has proved to be analmost- impossible mission this season - on three occasions this season penalties were needed to secure 1-0 wins. On the bright side, though, Ttottenham were able to hold on and not concede in the dying moments of the match, which signals an improvement in the defence and the resilience of the team.

Andre Villas-Boas was one busy bee this summer. With a huge transfer budget to dig into thanks to the impending Gareth Bale move, he moved for several players. They have made a good start to this season, sitting three points off the top in fifth. But, for me at least, some players haven’t quite hit the mark.

Tottenham have lost three consecutive matches in the Premier League and Europa League combined and there has been mass hysteria.
Is it necessary? Or can a small tweak make the difference? Well the Lilywhites have not gone from the in form team in the League to useless all of a sudden.
