    Average Shot Accuracy: 44%

    Chances Created: 24

    Pass Accuracy: 86%

    Average Duels Won: 66%

Leon Osman has been one of Everton unsung heroes for years now, but he finally got his call up to the England squad last year at the tender age of 31. It was fully deserved. Osman goes about his business with minimal fuss and is a massive reason why Everton have been so successful over the last few years.

He is willing to put his body on the line for the shirt on his back and the fans at Goodison Park love him for it.

He is a little maestro in the middle of the field. It is seldom that an Everton attack does not go through Osman at some point, but the same goes for the defensive actions.

    Top5 - Number 3: Steven Pienaar

    Games played: 28

    Goals: 5

    Average Shot Accuracy: 53%

    Chances Created: 62

    Pass Accuracy: 82%

    Average Duels Won: 56%

The South African midfielder has been crucial to the club's push for a top 6 finish this season, continually proving to be the creative spark in the team. He can often be found linking up with Leighton Baines in the wider positions, but is also as comfortable in the centre of the pitch.

He has an almighty strike on him as well. However, his most impressive attribute is his impeccable ball control and his eye for a pass.

Pienaar is now 31 and coming towards the end of his career, but he has certainly proved that he has at least a good 3 or 4 years left at the top.

    Top5 - Number 4: Marouane Fellaini

    Games played: 24

    Goals: 11

    Average Shot Accuracy: 66%

    Chances Created: 30

    Pass Accuracy:  78%

    Average Duels Won: 52%

The big, fuzzy-haired Belgian started this season on flames. Everything he touched turned to gold and he was being touted as a big money move to one of the top three clubs in the country as a result of his fine form. He had the strength, he had the passing ability, he scored the goals, he made the assists.

However, he has somewhat taken a nosedive in regards to his form in the latter stages of the season. This may be because of fatigue. This may be because of the criticism he came under for his aggressive displays. It could even be because of the interest he caused earlier in the season. Whatever it is, Fellaini will need to pick his form back up if he wants the Toffees to snatch a top five.

    Top5 - Number 5: Phil Jagielka

    Games played: 30

    Goals: 2

    Average Shot Accuracy: 47%

    Chances Created: 9

    Pass Accuracy: 78%

    Average Duels Won: 66%

Jagielka has been impressing the country's media since his days at Sheffield United as a teen and was widely regarded as a candidate for the next England captain.

His passionate, determined displays have won him plaudits in his entire career, but it has only been the last few years that he has been touted for a move to one of the Manchester clubs at the top of the Premier League table.

He is a domineering central defender with the understanding and experience to reach the very top of European football. However, he is now 30-years-old, and if a move away from Everton was to transpire I would have thought that it would have to be soon.

He is a crucial part to the Everton backline, and Toffees around the globe will be hoping he stays at Goodison Park for a good while yet.

    Average Shot Accuracy: 58%

    Chances Created: 74

    Pass Accuracy:  84%

    Average Duels Won: 49%

Juan Mata has been incredible this season and has definitely been Chelsea's most important player. Everything that the Blues do goes through the little Spaniard and he can be both provider and finisher as easily as each other.

The former Valencia midfielder has endless amounts of creativity and the confidence to rip defences apart. He has immense passing abilities and the awareness to see things that you'd only expect from a seasoned veteran 10 years his senior.

Mata is brilliant to watch, and hopefully he stays in the Premier League for many years to come.

    Pass Accuracy: 85%

    Average Duels Won: 54%

One of Belgium's brightest talents has brightened the Premier League since his big money move from Lille in the summer. The way he makes difficult passes look simple is something that he does on a regular basis.

He has been a main figure in the Blues' season and is often the man who sparks attacks. His speed, his urgency and his determination to succeed is something which makes him the focal point for the majority of attacks.

    Top5 - Number 3: Branislav Ivanovic

    Games played: 28

    Goals: 5

    Average Shot Accuracy: 37%

    Chances Created: 12

    Pass Accuracy: 84%

    Average Duels Won: 61%

When the robust defender arrived at the Bridge back in 2008 nobody could have envisaged the sort of long term impact that he would have on the club.

Since then, he has become a mainstay in the Chelsea squad and has gone from strength to strength. His versatility has played a major part of that. The Serbia international can play anywhere across the back, preferably on the right or in the middle, and is known to enjoy bombing down the wing.

Ivanovic is a unit, a brick wall if you like. Any attacker trying to get the better of him had better have the strength and the speed of a race horse or they could very easily embarrass themselves.

    Clean Sheets: 12

    Average Goals Conceded: 0.93

    Average Saves Per Game: 1.79

    Average Claim Success: 96%

Petr Cech is widely recognised as one of the greatest goalkeepers on the planet, and there is plenty of proof to back up that argument.

Cech has a massive and a somewhat intimidating presence between the sticks and his steely glare is enough to put you off even having a shot. He is an athletic shot-stopper who is domineering in his box, pouncing on everything that comes his way.

He is exactly the sort of player that defenders love having behind them.

    Pass Accuracy:  82%

    Average Duels Won: 65%

We all know how important Frank Lampard is to Chelsea, and the thought of the club letting him go on a free at the end of the season is enough to turn the stomach of any fan of the west London club.

There is no one else on the planet that you'd rather have on the edge of the opponents area with the ball at his feet, likewise with the ball dropping from about 30 yards from goal.

Lampard is one determined individual, and the number of games and goals at the highest level of football displays that.

    Top5 - Number 1: David Silva

    Goals: 4

    Average Shot Accuracy: 65%

    Chances Created: 92

    Pass Accuracy: 85%

    Average Duels Won: 61%

Silva set the Premier League on flames last season and proved himself to be one of the most creative midfielders in Europe. His campaign this time round has been a bit quieter by his standards, but he has still been a major reason why City still have a slight chance in retaining their title.

The little Spaniard is incredible to watch when in full flow. His movement, his fleet-footedness, and his improbable amounts of awareness make him the key to unlock opposition defences on numerous occasions.

    Take a bow, Mr Silva.
