When the robust defender arrived at the Bridge back in 2008 nobody could have envisaged the sort of long term impact that he would have on the club.

Since then, he has become a mainstay in the Chelsea squad and has gone from strength to strength. His versatility has played a major part of that. The Serbia international can play anywhere across the back, preferably on the right or in the middle, and is known to enjoy bombing down the wing.              

Ivanovic is a unit, a brick wall if you like. Any attacker trying to get the better of him had better have the strength and the speed of a race horse or they could very easily embarrass themselves.
