As Jose Mourinho continues to mould his Chelsea side after returning to Stamford Bridge last summer, one man who could be leaving is Marko Marin.  The midfielder arrived at the club in 2012 but has had an unproductive two years at the club, featuring only 15 times in all competitions for the Blues.

According to ESPN, Benfica’s 20-year-old Serbian winger Lazar Markovic is expected to undergo a medical at Liverpool after a fee of around £25 million was recently agreed between the two clubs. For someone so young, he has an excellent eye for goal and has a good amount of European experience.  The fact that Brendan Rodgers is willing so spend so much money on the youngster is evidence of his quality.

Arsenal's Forgotten Man: Why Wenger MUST Keep Hold Of Star Out On Loan

Loaning players is one of the most effective methods of developing a players career and aiding them reach the heights they promise. If you send a player on loan for the season, that player is out of your mind most of the time and they can gradually develop their game under the tutelage of another manager. Perhaps that manager will bring the best out of them, but, the point is that when a player is out on loan, they are building their game.

Manchester United Need To Make This Midfielder Their Number 1 Target - Here's Why

Manchester United have a big, big couple of months ahead of them. If David Moyes doesn't manage to break into the top four and clinch Champions League football then there will be plenty of frustrated natives up at Old Trafford and plenty more continuing to pick their performances apart. For me they had the chance to ensure of a top four finish last month in the transfer window, and although they signed Juan Mata, I think Ivan Rakitic should have been the number one target.

FIVE Central Midfielders Who Could Replace Steven Gerrard

Liverpool fans have enjoyed watching Steven Gerrard dominating the centre of midfield since 1997 after he was promoted to the first team straight from the U18's. Gerrard is one of England's greatest central midfielders and a Premier League legend to go with it. It's fair to say that Gerrard is deserving of a place in the football players hall of fame. However, at his age, 33, it'll be hard for him to keep going for much longer as a regular. If Liverpool are serious about their ambitions then they must find a player who can replace Gerrard, for now and the long term.

7 Goals And 5 Assists: Could This Midfielder Be The Answer To Manchester United's Problem?

Manchester United failed to control the midfield against Everton on Wednesday evening and as a result failed to get anything out of the game as the Toffees returned to Merseyside with a 1-0 win. United did have a good game, though, but they couldn't penetrate the Everton backline. If they had this man in their team, however, then it could have been a different story, as I think he is the perfect player for David Moyes to move for in January.

The Exits At Arsenal - A Look At Sebastien Squillaci (Video)

Arsenal continue to frustrate their fans with a lack of signings this summer, with Yaya Sanogo the only arrival so far and failed bids for Gonzalo Higuain and Luis Suarez grabbing the headlines. Although they are struggling to capture their transfer targets, at least they are managing to offload the 'dead wood' at the club.

Have Manchester City got it right this time?

It is fair to say that despite the pots of cash at their disposal Manchester City have not exactly spent the money particularly well – with last summer’s well documented failures being the most notable example of this. The criticisms have often revolved around transfer moves being ill thought out, with many of the players brought in failing to improve the squad.

La Liga forward no closer to Premier League move after big money bid turned down (Video)

Spanish side Sevilla have turned down a £14.5m offer from West Ham for Alvaro Negredo on the same day that they almost concluded the £17m deal to sell Jesus Navas to Manchester City. Was this just a case of the Hammers being unlucky, as the Andalucians had already agreed to part with one of their star players and therefore didn't want to lose another so quickly, or were they aiming too high by even attempting to capture such a player?
