Arsenal's Forgotten Man: Why Wenger MUST Keep Hold Of Star Out On Loan

Loaning players is one of the most effective methods of developing a players career and aiding them reach the heights they promise. If you send a player on loan for the season, that player is out of your mind most of the time and they can gradually develop their game under the tutelage of another manager. Perhaps that manager will bring the best out of them, but, the point is that when a player is out on loan, they are building their game.

According to FootballDirectNews, Sevilla are ready to pounce on Arsenal's star loanee, Joel Campbell. They're trying to sign up a new attack-minded player to bolster their options and look to make assault on the top three in the La Liga.

However, Arsenal are keen to keep the Costa Rican international after experiencing his best season in Europe with Olympiacos - scoring 11 goals and claiming 12 assists in 43 domestic games. One of those goals included an amazing solo goal against Manchester United.

The man has been registered with Arsenal since the summer of 2011, but, hasn't made an appearance because of complications with obtaining a work permit. He has since had stints at Lorient, Real Betis and Olympiacos.

For me, as he's gained his work permit, should at least be given a chance at Arsenal to prove that he was worth waiting for. It'd be unfair if he was brought to Europe by a club and never actually got to play for them. Besides, I think he has great potential and would be valuable member of Arsenal's team next season.

He's a versatile player and can play in most positions in the attack. That would really help the Gunners and there usual attack problems. Not because of a lack of quality, but, because of the injuries that cripple the squad every season. If he's fit and firing, he could be very important for this period.

He boasts a wide range of skills and has the pace to pull off some of the more extravagant moves. He will add some much needed speed if Theo Walcott and Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain are absent. So, for me, Arsenal should rebuff all attempts by other clubs to sign him.

YES!! .... the forgotten Gunner must never be forgotten!
Joel Campbell has his work permit, skills have been noticed at Olympiacos, who obviously want to retain him.
    No way!
Joel can prove to be that missing ace that could be decisive in the Gunners pursuit of trophies next season.
Arsenal need another additional proven and experience forward, a lethal defensive midfielder, an all out winger/striker,
    and a centre back!
Don't forget the reserves ..... Gnabry, Akpom, Eisfeld etc.... young but potential first team door knockers!

Campbell is one for the future and his time is now. Arsenal would be seeing the back of Bendtner and Park this summer and need to fill in the gaps from within with maybe another big name buy up front. Campbell is the best option to provide the back-up, as he could play centrally and wide on the wings. Also, he provides another outlet and a different option than Giroud as he has pace and much more skill on the ball than Giroud.
