    Derek McInnes & Bristol City

Being a Bristol City fan has always had its highs and lows through out my 19 year life span, but in the past few years the club seems to have lost its passion, fight and most of all stature. We used to be a club that teams feared playing against, especially at Ashton Gate.

Can the Saints keep marching in?

Hands up everyone who thought this season’s nPower Championship would be a heavyweight tussle between Big Sam’s West Ham and Sven’s lavishly-assembled Leicester?

    Championship Round Up

I have to say, Leon Clarke’s hat-trick for Chesterfield against Carlisle did make me smile. My joy for Clarke had nothing to do with any personal feelings towards the on-loan striker, it was more a case of how it went down with his parent club Swindon Town.

(Another) 2011/2012 Championship Preview (with predictions and odds)

Clichés become clichés for a very good reason; the fact that they have a solid grounding in reality and truth. Usually anyway. Thus, the cliché that the Championship (no marketing here) is the most hotly contested and difficult league to predict has an element of truth to it. However, certain patterns can be deduced.

    Reading FC- 2010/11 in perspective

Way back in August 2010, when Ryan Giggs was doing what he does in the privacy of not his own bed, Osama Bin Laden wasn’t hanging out with Spongebob Squarepants and Adam Johnson was the saviour of the England team, something depressingly predictable happened; Reading sold their star player.

Moyes to dip into the Championship again

Long, 24 has been in fine form this term bagging 26 goals for club and country and is currently being tracked by Newcastle and Celtic, but the Daily Mail reports that Everton has now joined the chase to sign the 24-year old.

Diary of a Sky Sports Reporter

Sometimes, just sometimes, things don't go to plan. This weekend was definitely one of those occasions for me. Firstly, I was given the Championship relegation clash between Preston and Sheffield United, then I was switched to another Championship game Coventry versus Millwall, and then after watching the game I was told not to do any interviews. And the reason why... there wasn't a cameraman there for me!

Moyes' rumour Mills tick over in a Scunthorpe café

This is going to sound like one of those typical rumours that you read on your club’s forum pages, but this one actually has some legs.

Diary of a Sky Sports Football Reporter

It's always interesting to watch a team battle against relegation, invariably they're more exciting games than those involving sides looking for promotion. And after traveling to a couple of relegation-threatened clubs in a matter of a few days, I saw two very different matches and two contrasting results.

    New deal, same old problems

It was announced last week that Sky Sports submitted a bid for the rights to broadcast 75 live Football League matches and the Carling Cup for three years from the 2012-13 season. No other broadcaster submitted a bid, it is believed. Thus, Sky Sports won a little bit more of English football’s soul.

For The Want of Forty-Two Pounds

Would you ever take your football club to court? What would it take? Injury caused at a football ground caused by the club’s negligence? Having your season ticket taken away from you for no reason by the club, leaving you out of pocket? Would you not take them to court at all because they are your club?
