Wigan Athletic Dump The Silky Football And Go Direct

The Community Shield match between Manchester United and Wigan saw two managers taking their first steps in charge of their new clubs. David Moyes will have been fairly pleased about the way that his team controlled large passages of the game, whilst Owen Coyle appears to have already altered the mentality of what was, under Roberto Martinez, a possession focused, passing team.

      Remembering Arsenal's 'Iceman' (video)

With Arsenal fans seemingly in a negative pit of worry and anger, they need some light-hearted and fun videos to reminisce about past glory. With a title that adds humour to the whole video because it's so to the point that it's actually quite funny. 'Bergkamp porn' is something to enjoy and anyone can enjoy it because he is one of the greatest strikers the Premier League has ever seen. He formed a partnership with Thierry Henry so devastatingly clinical that it's hard to imagine a better pair of strikers.

Arsenal's Ivorian striker Gervinho is on the verge of joining Italian side Roma after an £8m deal was agreed. However, the Italian side need to sell players before the deal can be concluded as they don't currently have the finances to complete the move. The funny-haired attacker will link up with his former coach at Lille, Rudi Garcia, who has taken the manager's role at Roma.

Liverpool and Tottenham locked in battle of Belgian

How long can the seemingly endless line of Belgium talent last you might find yourself asking - given the remarkable number of quality players the relatively tiny nation has brought England's top flight over the last year or two.

5 Ligue 1 players targeted by Premier League clubs

France - The home of the Eifel Tower, fine wine and football. French players have been a huge part of English football for a number of years now, from the Arsene Wenger days when almost his entire squad wore a berret and cycled to training with a ring of garlic around their necks, to Alain Pardeux assembling his squad with the biggest, meanest Frenchmen that there is.

The Artist formerly known as Kaka

What ever happened to Ricardo Kaka? Bought by Real Madrid for an eye watering £50 million plus (remember that this is the same summer they bought Ronaldo for £80 million) in 2009, he has merely played a bit-part role for Jose Mourinho's team.

Adkins minority exposes fickleness of football fans

Recently after the 6-1 drubbing of Southampton by Arsenal, I heard some bizarre criticisms begin to be levelled at Southampton.  Claims that the side had been promoted a season too early and that, although the Saints couldn’t buy players because the transfer window had passed, the club could still get rid of Nigel Adkins, their manager.  I have a few issues with this that I will now address.
