Can Sepp Blatter become any more ridiculous than he already has? The answer is of course yes, but the worrying thing is that this imbecile of a man is currently one of the most powerful men in world football.
So here's another edition of the yearly instalment in the FIFA franchise, but is one of their new features a massive step towards total realism?
South Korea, Japan, Australia, Holland, Italy, Germany – and – Iran have all qualified via their continental group for the World Cup set to be held in Brazil next year. Unsurprisingly, this is the first time that the Iranian’s have managed to achieve such an achievement for a fairly unknown football nation. At 48th in FIFA’s much discussed ranking system, they stand tall above Egypt, Turkey, Wales, Republic Of Ireland and South Korea even (so they surely can’t be as bad as we’re all thinking they are). In mid-2005 they were (theoretically) the 15th best football national team in the world according to the same rankings.
I wasn't keen on the Confederations Cup to begin with. I didn't see the point in such a tournament and bemoaned that it was another money maker for Blatter and his cronies.
Contrary to popular belief, Alexis Sanchez is not actually as good as his Youtube vides would suggest.
As the season comes to a conclusion and we look back at the events of the past 10 months, I want to discuss the phenomenon of last minute substitutions and whether there is any real need, or benefit, to making them.
What if one of the most iconic and recognisable rules from the game was eradicated and no longer used?
It was announced on April 11 that Goal-Line technology would be introduced for the next Premiership season, in addition to the 2014 World Cup. So, great news, the old sceptic Sepp Blatter has been brought round to the long-overdue technology, and the world is a better place for it. After being denied in South Africa, England’s prayers have been answered. The ball is now in their court to find a new way to be inevitably ‘unfairly’ eliminated in the 2014 edition.
Football video games are a big part of a lot of people’s lives nowadays and they definitely have been a big part of mine. I have been playing football video games since the ages of 8 or 9 for fun and I thought I’d share with you my top 10 favourites of all time. Bear in mind I haven’t played every single football game that has been out so I’m not claiming to be a video gaming expert, these are purely the top 10 out of the ones I have played. Enjoy.
I would certainly like to try because all the pain and misery he is causing with these international breaks is just exruciating.
It was a surreal experience watching England's World Cup qualifier against San Marino last night.
Growing up I was apart of the “Playstation generation” and with football games being a personal favourite, it got me wondering how much has it influenced the way I and others consume football?
At last, the world of football will be allowed goal-line technology, and not before time I hear you shout!
