Can Bayern Munich Retain Their Champions League Crown?

Winning a title is a feat that’s already difficult to accomplish. Doing it twice in a row could be close to impossible. No club has done it in the current format of the UEFA Champions League. Before the format switch in 1992, though, a handful of teams were able to overcome the odds. Curiously, this short list includes the 1975 and 1976 Bayern squads. A.C. Milan has the distinction of being the last one to do it back in the 1988-1989 and 1989-1990 seasons. Fast-forward to today, more than two decades has elapsed since there has been a back-to-back champion in the UEFA Champions League. Can Bayern finally break that dry spell and be the first to attain this astonishing achievement in the current format?

The Importance Of Tomas Rosicky To Arsenal

The shaggy looking 32-year-old Czech Republic international perhaps hasn't enjoyed the career he would have wanted at Arsenal, with all the injuries he's suffered since his arrival back in 2006 from Borussia Dortmund. Now, I've picked up on Rosicky's importance fairly early on but I haven't yet had the platform to write an article on my thoughts. But the time has come, so sit back and hear my thoughts as to why Rosicky is as important to Arsenal as any other player on the pitch. Unless you've already realised this of course - it's surprising the amount of people that haven't in all honesty.

An effective midfielder is said to be one who can tackle, pass and score goals.  Although England have not had too many in recent years, they do have one who is about to receive his 100th cap.

A Look At Why This Borussia Dortmund Player Is So Useful

Feeding off my second article from Thursday, where I listed who I wanted Arsenal to spend £100 million on, I thought I might explain further some of my choices, perhaps, surprise inclusions. Kevin Grosskeus was probably one of those players, but hopefully by the end of this piece you will understand why he could be such a useful player for most top teams in Europe including Arsenal.

Why Arsenal May Struggle In The Champions League This Season

The draw may have not been as lethal as it was with Celtic (Barcelona two years running?!) but Arsenal's Champions League group will be a difficult one to emerge from.

It appears that reports of Lukas Podolski's impending exit from Arsenal have been greatly exaggerated.

    Top 10: My Favourite Players

It's a topic that has been running through my mind for quite a while. Which footballers do I like, not only as a player but also their attitude? It's not easy, but I feel like the players I've chosen abide by my check-list -hard working, quality and versatile are just a few of the categories they must succeed in.

Can Hatem Ben Arfa Provide The Spark Newcastle Need?

Somewhere, somehow, it all went drastically wrong for Newcastle United last season. Things didn't improve over the summer with the controversial appointment of Joe Kinnear as the new director of football as well as the unnecessary drama that was caused by Papiss Cisse not wanting to wear Wonga but deciding to in the end anyway.

A Look At Serge Gnabry - Arsenal's German powerhouse

Last on my list of Arsenal youngsters is a certain Serge Gnabry, who, unlike the other two, has experienced competitive football in the Gunners' first team already. He has featured in a couple of Premier League games last season and a Champions League game also. The German is a mere 18 years of age but is more likely to make an appearance at some point this season, more than the aforementioned Akpom and Zelalem. Serge has drawn comparisons to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain due to being skilful, fast and very capable physically. Both are considered to be powerful wingers.
