Wenger Blames Red Card For Bayern Defeat - I Think They Would Have Lost Anyway

Arsene Wenger must be furious right now. After recovering from the 5-1 thrashing from Liverpool with a 0-0 draw with Manchester United and then 1 2-1 win over Liverpool in the cup, they were steamrolled by the reigning European champions Bayern Munich. There was a clear turning point in the game though, the moment when Wojciech Szczesny was dismissed for his challenge on Arjen Robben, and Wenger has pinpointed that moment as one that killed the game.

THREE Things We Learned From Arsenal 0-2 Bayern Munich

The chances are you watched Arsenal get picked apart by Bayern Munich last night. The Germans came over to the Emirates and eased past them over the 90 minutes, taking a 2-0 victory back to the Allianz-Arena ahead of the second leg. I say eased - it wasn't all plain sailing for the Bavarians. The first 15 to 20 minutes were dominated by the home side, and if Mesut Ozil had tucked away his penalty then things could have been very difficult.

144 Passes, 1 Goal: How Toni Kroos Ripped Arsenal Apart

Bayern are the reigning champions of Europe for a reason - they own a squad crammed full of world class players and a manager who has won an enormous amount of trophies in a short space of time. Granted, Pep Guardiola wasn't responsible for the success last season, but he has carried on Jupp Heynckes' ambitions.

Arsenal vs Bayern: Why Gunners Will Have To Stifle Lahm In Order To Get A Result

Last season Bayern steamrolled everything that stood in front of them. Under Jupp Heynckes the Bavarians were rampant in every competition they entered and ended the season with five major trophies under their belt, including the Bundesliga, the German Cup and the Champions League. With a change of manager however comes a different strategy and structure, and Pep Guardiola has made some tweaks at the Allianz-Arena.

Why Ozil Must Pull His Socks Up Against Bayern This Evening

The signing of Mesut Ozil in the summer was one that inspired Arsenal fans. Arsene Wenger landed one of the top playmakers in Europe and it made people believe that they were once against title contenders. The fans believed, the squad seemed to believe and most importantly the rest of the Premier League believed and ultimately started to shut down against them.

No Mandzukic? How Bayern Should Line Up Against Arsenal

Hands up, who gives Arsenal a chance of getting a result tonight against Bayern Munich? I'm unsure, but I think anything could happen in the Champions League. Bayern have such a strong squad that they are rightly the favourites, and are the current holders of the competition. But how should they line up tonight in north London?

No Podolski? How Arsenal Should Line Up Against Bayern Munich

A couple of weeks ago Arsenal's season seemed in danger of falling apart. After topping the table for most of the season Arsene Wenger's men lost their place at the summit and were thrashed 5-1 at Liverpool.

Arsenal Recall Youngster, But Should He Be Given A Chance In The First Team?

Arsenal are a side with a strong choice of full-backs - or at least it would seem so on paper.

Arsenal Star Eyes Chelsea Return - How Important Will He Be To Gunners' Title Chances?

Aaron Ramsey had never really been a player to set the Premier League alight. The Wales international was a typical British player in the way that he put everything into his performances but he never looked as though he could be a match winner. That changed this season though as his dazzling performances in the opening parts of the campaign set Arsenal up for a season of hope.

As well as both Arsenal and Liverpool battling it out for the Premier League top spot, it now seems that they will be going head to head to land Marseille midfielder Mathieu Valbuena. The Express are reporting the story and say that if they are willing to stump up the £10m asking price then they are free to take him off their hands, but who is he and what could he offer the Premier League duo?

Wenger Has No Regrets About Suarez, Or Could It Be Mind Games?

It may be a case of sour grapes, or even mind games ahead of the clash between the two clubs at the weekend,  but Arsene Wenger has no regrets about not landing Luis Suarez according to the Guardian. Now, call me a sceptic, but I bet he's reeling inside. How could he not be? The Uruguayan has been in remarkable form this season and  I doubt there is a manager on the planet who wouldn't welcome him into their side.

Arsenal Should Look To Sign Real Madrid Midfielder

Arsenal will be top of the Premier League table going into this weekend and deservedly so. The Gunners have worked tremendously hard this season and have reaped the rewards of their high morale, something which seems to have been lacking since the great invincible back in what the Gooners will consider the good old days. There is still room for improvement though in my eyes and there is one man who could solve a couple of problems, I think.
