THREE Things We Learned From Arsenal 0-2 Bayern Munich

The chances are you watched Arsenal get picked apart by Bayern Munich last night. The Germans came over to the Emirates and eased past them over the 90 minutes, taking a 2-0 victory back to the Allianz-Arena ahead of the second leg. I say eased - it wasn't all plain sailing for the Bavarians. The first 15 to 20 minutes were dominated by the home side, and if Mesut Ozil had tucked away his penalty then things could have been very difficult.

Wojciech Szczesny brought down Arjen Robben in the penalty area and was subsequently sent off, but David Alaba clipped the post with the resulting spot kick.

Bayern could smell blood though and in the second half came out all guns blazing. Toni Kroos and Thomas Muller found a way past Lukas Fabianski, and by the full time whistle the Bundesliga side were comfortably the better side.

Arsenal will no doubt be frustrated with the officials, it's only natural to look for someone to blame, but Muller could have perhaps been awarded a penalty of his own in the second half which was completely overlooked by the referee.

Anyway, let's take a game a little bit closer - here are three things we learned during the clash of the titans.
