THREE Arsenal Players Who Should Be Dropped After Bayern Defeat

Arsenal hosted Bayern Munich in the first leg of their Champions League clash last night knowing just how difficult the task would be. The Bavarians came into the game as the current holders of the competition and with an unbeaten run at a staggering number.

Things started well for the Gunners though after they were awarded with a penalty as a result of Jerome Boateng bringing down Mesut Ozil, but the Arsenal playmaker stepped up and saw his strike saved.

Then, Wojciech Szczesny clipped Arjen Robben in the box after the winger rushed onto the ball and was subsequently sent off, but Arsenal took solace in the fact that David Alaba struck the post with the spot kick.

Bayern eventually opened the Gooners up with a sweetly-struck Toni Kroos shot and followed it up with a Thomas Muller header in the closing stages, but in between was a remarkably easy affair for the Germans.

They finished the game having had 79% of the possession, having had 26 shots at goal and having completed over 800 passes during the game.

It was an uninspiring performance from the Gunners to say the least but the way the Bundesliga outfit tore them apart was brilliant to watch. Arsene Wenger has the right to be angry with his players, and on the back of the defeat here are three players who I think should be dropped for the club's next outing, a home clash with Sunderland.

This article is useless. Did you watch the match or you just read some pessimistic articles and decided to post yours?

You played against the defending champions - same team that beat 11 men Barca 3-0 and 4-0 and are even improved - and expected Sagna to be bombing forward when we were a man down when the primary objective should be 'damage limitation',that shows your understanding of football. I stopped reading when I read the first line.

Ozil and Flamini are in the 1st three of distance covered and you called Ozil's performance lazy?I think Ozil needs some rest but it's annoying when he's singled out and slammed when the whole team should be blamed.
