No Podolski? How Arsenal Should Line Up Against Bayern Munich

A couple of weeks ago Arsenal's season seemed in danger of falling apart. After topping the table for most of the season Arsene Wenger's men lost their place at the summit and were thrashed 5-1 at Liverpool.

However, since then they have held the current champions Manchester United to a 0-0 draw and got their revenge over Liverpool with a 2-1 win in the FA Cup. Tonight they have the chance to really stamp their authority as they host Bayern Munich in the Champions League. But how should they line up?

Well, I think it's safe to say Wojciech Szczesny will be in goal and the first choice pairing of Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny will be at centre-back. For me Bacary Sagna should be on the right of defence and Kieran Gibbs should be on the left.

In the two centre midfield spots I would deploy Mathieu Flamini and Jack Wilshere, with Mesut Ozil in the free role just ahead of them.

Either side of the Germany international I would have Santi Cazorla and Tomas Rosicky, with France international Olivier Giroud up top. Lukas Podolski should be given a run out though, in my eyes, as he will be dying to get one over his former club.

I would have left cazorla out and chosen podolski, imo cazorla and ozil do not compliment each other
