Chelsea Watching Rooney Situation, But Would Signing The Manchester United Forward Make Them Favourites For The Title?

Last summer we saw Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho scraping the barrel to find a striker suitable of leading his line to the Premier League title. He had Fernand Torres and Demba Ba both at the club, as well as young sensation Romulu Lukaku, but he sent the latter out on loan to Everton and drafted in Samuel Eto'o. A poor decision, in my eyes. Anyway, he may have a chance to make amends as the Mirror are reporting that he could be looking to sign Wayne Rooney when the January window opens.

A Closer Look At Jozy Altidore - Sunderland's Bullish Forward

This week I’m going to profile Sunderland forward Jozy Altidore, who scored a cracking goal against Chelsea last night in a crucial Premier League match. Unfortunately for Sunderland, they lost the game and are sitting in last place in the table, but they put up a good fight against Jose Mourinho's men.

Why My Money Is Going On Everton To Beat Manchester United Tonight

David Moyes gets the chance to get one over on his old team later today as Manchester United host Everton in what is shaping up to be a brilliant game. But while United hold the home advantage, and probably on paper as well, here is why I think Moyes and Wayne Rooney will be weeping at the hands, or feet in this case, of their former club.

Top 5: Premier League's Most Impressive Players - Includes Manchester United Double

Yesterday, out of sheer fun and boredom, I sat down and tried to come up with a list of the top five players in the English Premier League. I found out that due to the immense quality of players currently plying their trade in the English League, that it is VERY hard to be able to muster such a list without any hitches in the decision making process along the way. Below is my results (which I am sure will garner a few moans and groans, if not swears):

Manchester United Eyeing Up £25m Striker, But Where Would He Fit In Amongst Current Crop?

For me, David Moyes has holes in his squad, most noticeably in the middle. His static midfield has been found out at times already this season and is in need of strengthening in the new year. The defence could also do with a bit of a reshuffle, in my eyes, but the last position they need any more players in is up top. However, the Daily Star are reporting that Moyes holds an interest in Christian Benteke - Aston Villa's 19-goal hitman.

3 Key Battles To Look Out For In England Vs Germany

England vs Germany is a rivalry like no other. The two countries don't get along full stop, so when you throw football into the equation there is certainly no love lost. England come into the game on the back of a 2-0 loss to Chile, while the Germans drew 1-1 with a strong Italian side at the weekend. It is bound to be an exciting game despite not having anything riding on it, so here are three key battles to look out for.

5 Players Who Can Help Manchester United Retain The Premier League Title

Fear not United fans. Despite all the upheaval at Old Trafford in the summer, with the departure of the master Sir Alex Ferguson and the arrival of the apprentice David Moyes, Manchester United still possess the capabilities to add title number 21 to their list of Premier League accolades. True, United have not been firing on all cylinders in the league and have struggled against teams like West Bromwich Albion, Southampton, and Stoke City, but there have been signs in recent weeks that the tide is beginning to turn. The victory against league leaders Arsenal, although through a somewhat fortuitous goal, was very significant. Had United lost, they would have found themselves 11 points behind with four defeats in 11 matches and practically out of the title race before December. With the Red Devils managing to avoid such a situation, here are 5 reasons why United can reach the summit once more come May:

5 Player That Could Boost Manchester United's Title Hopes - Includes Chelsea Playmaker

Manchester United have had an up and down season so far, with far too many downs than they'll want to admit to, but they have struggled. The change in managers hasn't helped and performances have suffered because of it - the average players really have proven themselves to be just that. For this reason, United sit in 8th, two points behind seventh placed Everton and 8 points of league leaders, Arsenal.

Should Hernandez Be Looking To Leave Manchester United?

Manchester United have been going through a few changes this season - yes, changes, that’s a good word to describe it. Currently sitting 8th in the Premier League table, United are really feeling the loss of Sir Alex Ferguson. Last season they were kings, this season, well, it’s a bit of a dull roar right now. However, one thing that has remained the same since last season is Javier Hernandez’s struggle to find his place at the club.

3 players to fire Manchester United to the title

After a less than impressive start to life without Sir Alex Ferguson, Manchester United find themselves in eighth place and eight points off top spot. It hasn’t been the ideal beginning for Moyes but it is foolish to rule United out, so which three players could be instrumental to firing them in the right direction?
