Why My Money Is Going On Everton To Beat Manchester United Tonight

David Moyes gets the chance to get one over on his old team later today as Manchester United host Everton in what is shaping up to be a brilliant game. But while United hold the home advantage, and probably on paper as well, here is why I think Moyes and Wayne Rooney will be weeping at the hands, or feet in this case, of their former club.

Everton have lost just once this season, a 3-1 defeat away to Manchester City who have a notoriously strong home record.

Roberto Martinez has got them playing some slick football right now and I think the power in their team could get the better of United.

The Red Devils are struggling with injuries right now, especially in the central areas, but another former Everton player Marouane Fellaini may be available to play. If this is the case, then it only makes me want to put more money on the away team returning to Merseyside with the points.

Romelu Lukaku is another big reason. The Belgium international is in scintillating form this season after scoring 17 league goals last term with West Brom. This time he has scored eight in nine.

The Toffees have strength right through the squad - Jagielka is having a storming season, as are Gareth Barry and the wide men at the club - and I think it will be too much for Moyes' men to handle.
