Liverpool Join Race For Arsenal Target - Why Wenger Can't Afford To Miss Out On Striker

It's fair to say that, in terms of goals, it has been a very up and down season for Arsenal. They will have a run of games where they score two or three every game, but then scored none, or just one, for the next few. Olivier Giroud has actually been one of the more consistent scorers despite his critics, but the Gunners' goals have been spread nicely across the squad.

The other Arsenal strikers, Yaya Sanogo and Nicklas Bendtner have either been injured or not considered good enough to start. Sanogo has had some chances recently but Arsenal need a more consistent striker to play ahead of Giroud and a versatile frontman who can offer something totally different, but still gives you goals.

Josip Drmic is that kind of player but the Daily Star have reported that Liverpool are now in the running. 

Arsenal can't let this player slip through their hands as, firstly, he's cheap but very talented. In the modern age, that is practically unheard of. The Gunners can pick up a great deal if they do capture their man.

The next point is that the player is young. 21 to be exact and when you consider the fact that he's scored 16 goals in 27 games this season, it's quite incredible that he could leave for just £8 million. 

The last and final point is that he will add a lot of talent to the Arsenal team and that can only help them when they experience their seasonly 'everyone injured' period. The depth he will provide is yet another point as to why Arsenal can't let this player join Liverpool, or anyone else for that matter.
