PSG Forward Should Join Chelsea In The Summer - Here's Why

Edinson Cavani has recently refused to rule out a summer move from PSG. He is a target for several Premier League clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester United. 

Cavani has only made 23 appearances since his big money move from Napoli, in which the Italian side collected £55million. The Uruguayan has scored 14 goals but rumours have been wide spread that he could be leaving Paris, mainly because of the position Laurent Blanc is utilising him - out wide on the left of a front three.

Cavani would suit Chelsea’s style of play perfectly in my eyes. He has pace, power and the ability to hold the ball up well, which is crucial in the modern game, in the era of the single striker. Of course, he has also shown that he can produce moments of brilliance that Chelsea desperately need in the coming seasons, to avoid relying on the likes of Eden Hazard to score the goals.

Cavani would link up well with Oscar and both any variations of wide players used by Jose Mourinho, as the style of football between the two clubs is very similar. 

To summarise, Chelsea have the money to invest in a top quality striker and there is no doubting that he would improve the attacking options available and deal with the physicality of the Premier League.
