Tottenham Should Choose Experienced Arsenal Defender Over £30m Teen

In the summer, Tottenham Hotspur brought in too many players who had not experienced the pace and intensity of the English Premier League, in my opinion. The side is still lacking its own identity; although they did display a rare show of character they have lacked in recent weeks as they came back from two goals down to win 3-2 at home to Southampton this weekend. It is imperative that they now strengthen their squad with players who have proven Premier League experience, just like Sunday’s match-winner Gylfi Sigurdsson.

According to reports, Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna could join Tim Sherwood’s side at the end of the season. The 31-year-old is an established Premier League player and one of the most consistent full-backs in the topflight. Sagna would be an excellent addition at White Hart Lane in a position where the defensive flaws of Tottenham are often exposed.

The Gunners right-back would be a far more logical buy in comparison to that of Southampton youngster Luke Shaw. Unquestionably the 18-year-old is a special talent who has enjoyed a superb campaign, but he still needs more time to develop his game and according to the Evening Standard would cost around the £30 million mark.

Sagna is a proven Premier League player who Spurs could potentially get on a free transfer given that his contract expires at the end of the current campaign. He is the type of player Spurs will require if they want to sustain a push for the top four next season.

Are you joking he ain't going to your mob. What jokers hahahahahahahahaha

Why would this make 'logical' sense?! He's a right back and we need a left back...

He would never join the en-e-mee (said in a french accent).

Sagna can do a solid job at right-back or left-back. In an attacking sense he is not as strong as Kyle Walker but he is much better defensively. He would be a solid signing for Spurs - add reliability.
