Arsenal Boss Set To Drop Star - Here's Why It's A Good Idea

Standing at 6ft5 and possessing a big, powerful frame, Wojciech Szczesny has all the attributes to make it at the very top level. He is sculpting his game at Arsenal and although he is very much first choice at the Emirates he is still learning and developing as a player. He has to take the lows with the highs on, naturally, and this week could be getting a lot worse for him as the Daily Star suggest Arsene Wenger is ready to drop him against this evening's opponents Swansea.

For me, as an Arsenal fan, I think it's the right thing to do. He's a cracking goalkeeper, though his attitude has annoyed me a touch lately.

It started with the sending off against Bayern, but his cocky attitude at the weekend while we got thumped by Chelsea made me want to pull my hair out.

The reason I am comfortable for him to be rested is the form of Lukasz Fabianski. The Polish shot-stopper has stepped up every time he has been called upon this season and has been patient when he's been told to warm the bench.

His concentration is high, his organisational skills are strong and everything he does is carried out with a sense of modesty.

For me Wenger would be right to drop him, and I hope he does.
