Rooney Praises Chelsea - Why I Disagree With Striker's Comments

It was interesting to read Wayne Rooney’s comments on Chelsea in the Daily Mail today.  The Manchester United forward told the national paper he believes Chelsea are playing the ‘best’ football in the country at the moment as they currently sit at the top of the Barclays Premier League.

I was surprised by Wayne Rooney’s views as I feel Chelsea haven’t played the ‘best’ football in the country at present, despite sitting top of the league and into the quarter-finals of the Champions League.  Personally, they don’t play the most attractive football when you compare them to the likes of Arsenal , Liverpool and Manchester City who have entertained us all whilst winning games at a canter this season.

Maybe the United star couldn’t stomach being full of Praise for Liverpool as they are his arch enemies, considering he is an Everton fan at heart?

Yes, Chelsea fans won’t care if they win ugly as long as they win, but if we rewind to the recent loss against Aston Villa in the league they were poor and other occasions this season where they’ve scraped a draw, they haven’t impressed me.  Of all the top teams, personally, they play the least attractive football.

Manchester United were drawn today against European champions Bayern Munich in the Champions League and Chelsea have been handed a tough tie against Paris Saint Germain.

Do you think Chelsea are playing the best football in the country at the moment?

    Have your say.

More like the fifth best football at the moment... I genuinely would rather watch Everton play than Chelsea.

Chelsea is currently playing very exciting football.they are very confidence and well motivated by a great teacher.(jose)
