West Brom MUST Stick With Pepe Mel - Here's Why

West Brom have not had an upturn in results since sacking Steve Clarke back in December and are still without a win under Pepe Mel. The Baggies currently sit in 17th position in the Premier League table and find themselves in major trouble, as at the weekend Cardiff City moved level on points after the Baggies fell to defeat against Manchester United.

Mel has been under pressure from the start of his reign, taking just four points from seven games. However, you have to look at the run of fixtures they have had since Mel took the hot seat. Valuable points against Everton, Chelsea and Liverpool, but a draw with Fulham at home and a 3-1 defeat at Selhurst Park mean the next run of fixtures are crucial, if they want to secure safety. They play Swansea and Hull away before key games against Cardiff City and Norwich.

The way I see it, West Brom fans should have some patience. If you look at the mess Fulham are in - they are now on their 3rd manager of the season and are bottom of the league - it would be ludicrous to sack Mel.

I think West Brom will be okay, just, but Mel will need to do a lot of business in the summer to rejuvenate the squad.

West Brom fans have got patience and the vast majority are behind Pepe, its the jokers who run the club who are creating the mess by not backing him, and the players who are not flexible to play any other way than on the counter.
