    Too Cocky? Are Manchester City Suffering From Their Own Confidence?

    Manchester City losing to Wigan at home is undoubtedly an shock result. A score line like this, with City’s squad, at the Etihad, must rank as one of the worst results for a good few seasons for City. To me it looks as though their season is unravelling.

    From playing so well a few weeks ago to losing to a Championship team. At home. Where has it gone wrong for Pelligrini's men?

    It’s obvious that City have a great squadof individual players, but as a team, they’re lacking. For that squad, City should be winning everything in sight - not just the league cup. The Citizens should be asking questions as to why they’re failing in Europe, the league and the FA Cup.

    Pelligrini seems to not be up to the task, the fans seem to be over confident, and so do the board. Manchester City are still only the second most famous team in Manchester (as demonstrated by United’s impending 600 million pound kit deal with Nike) and City need to get back to working hard,scrapping for points and battling against sides. Not thinking every team will roll over and let them play how they want to.

    Over confidence seems to have infected players, fans and staff alike, and it needs to be eradicated if City are to get their season back on track.

    City loose three games (two against Chelsea and Barcelona) and you (whoever you are) come out with cobblers like;

    "Over confidence seems to have infected players, fans and staff alike" & "Pelligrini seems to not be up to the task, the fans seem to be over confident, and so do the board." and "Too Cocky? Are Manchester City Suffering From Their Own Confidence? "

    From that can we gather City have a problem with confidence.?

    Not only do you talk cobblers, you talk repetitive cobblers.

    Certainly not cocky, that epitaph belongs to that lot in Salford that you're trying to big up in your article. Just a football team who lose now and then.
