Tottenham Star on PSG Radar, But Could He Be The First Of Many Departures?

The Daily Star reports Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint Germain have expressed their interest in bringing Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris back to France. But could that lead to more heading for the exit?

The former Lyon man has barely put a foot wrong since finally dislodging Premier League veteran Brad Friedel, after his £11.8 million move to north London.

However, at 25, Lloris is already established as one of the world’s best goalkeepers and Tottenham’s current league position has some of Europe’s big clubs ready to pounce.

Even from within the Ligue 1 PSG face competition from the re-emerging Monaco, and with the uncertainty over the goalkeeping situation at the Bernabeu he could well be a target for Los Blancos.

Earlier this month, Belgian defender Jan Vertonghen also cast doubt over his future if Tottenham were not to qualify for the Champions League.

Tim Sherwood’s side currently sit fifth, six points off high flying Liverpool, but are starting to falter with two losses in their last five league matches.

Brazilian central midfielder Paulinho is another big summer signing who, if he receives an offer from a side in the Champions League, may decide to leave, with Real alsosupposedly impressed by him.

I can’t see Tottenham beating Liverpool to fourth, and I believe they have messed up their chance to progress as a club.

Superstar flogged, £110 million down the drain, manager sacked and no Champions League doesn’t make great reading for Daniel Levy, does it?
