21 Goals In 25 Games: Why This Striker Is Perfect For Arsenal

Diego Costa is very highly rated Brazilian-born, Spanish international who is apparently on the list of many Premier League clubs. Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea to name a few, but I think he would fit in best at Arsenal.

Atletico Madrid president, Enrique Cerezo insisted that their star player will not be sold this summer. However, we have seen on many occasions in recent years that money talks and if Arsenal really want to challenge for major honours, they need to pay the big wages to challenge.

They are in need of a top quality striker. Olivier Giroud has improved, but there are better strikers on the market and in my opinion, Costa would be a perfect match.

If you look at Atletico's style of play, it is very similar to Arsenal's. Quick, intricate passing around the penalty area, a key feature, but Costa has the physicality that can trouble defences. Ideal for the Premier League and if you look at his scoring record of 21 goals in 25 La Liga games this season, that sort of form would certainly add to Arsenal's striking options.

Arsene Wenger may have to spend up to £50million to tempt Atletico into a sale, but acquiring his abilities would give the club, the fan's and the Arsenal players a huge lift. Imagine the link up play between Costa, Cazorla, an in form Ozil and Wilshere.

That would be a pleasure to watch.
