Mourinho Hints At Falcao Deal - Here's Why Chelsea Fans Should Be Excited

Jose Mourinho hinted at a possible move for Monaco star, Radamel Falcao according to the Telegraph, who reported from an interview with French television company, 'Canal Football Club'. He was quoted as saying: "I have a team, but no striker" and he later he added "A player like him can't play in front of 3,000 people. Monaco is a club to end [your career with]."

Jose also talked about Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but admits that it would be impossible to bring him to Chelsea, as he his says he his happy there and is in regular contact with the Swede.

Chelsea fans should be excited about the possible move for Falcao, too.

The Colombian, who is currently injured has only made 17 appearences in a Monaco shirt since his big money move from Atletico Madrid, scoring 9 goals, and Mourinho is looking to build a team around Eden Hazard, with Falcao being a summer target it seems.

Mourinho and Falcao share the same agent, so a deal has a decent chance of happening, I would have thought, which would add much needed strength to the striking options at Stamford Bridge.

Samuel Eto'o is out of contract in the summer and £50million flop, Fernando Torres is only being utilised from the bench at present. Demba Ba has hardly figured this season and Romelu Lukaku is on loan at Everton, therfore it is clear that Chelsea are lacking a 30 goals a season striker, and Falcao's track record domestically, and in Europe, speaks for itself.

He is a physically strong player who is good in the air but also has a lot of technique with the ball at his feet. I think he would slot in perfectly in front of the current crop of playmakers at the club and would be the man to lead them to the title.

He has everything to be a success at a club like Chelsea, for me, and if you don't believe me then watch this clip.
