It may seem obvious, but to lead a solid set of players you need a manager who knows what he's doing, and Liverpool have that.

Brendan Rodgers knows what he wants and knows how to get it. Upon arriving at Anfield the Irishman planted a lot of seeds in terms of structure, youth players and a desire to play silky football, and we are now seeing those plans coming to fruition.

The Reds have popped the ball around the pitch beautifully this season and it is complimented by creative movement off the ball and a group of players who read into what the boss is trying to do.

This season Liverpool have won 14 of their 24 Premier League games and have scored the second most amount of goals in the division behind Manchester City, but their backline could do with tightening up a bit.

For me there could be no better man in charge of Liverpool right now and he will go some way to securing Champions League football in Liverpool once again.
