    Some frowned when the Belgian was signed in the summer from Fulham, noting that he didn't have the creativity of the man he was ultimately replacing - Luka Modric.

    However, he quickly silenced the doubters with his impeccable performances in the early stages of the season. His form did take a nosedive, but he is now proving to be one of Spurs' most important players in the middle of the pitch.

    Dembele is blessed with technical brilliance, and will only get better given the game time with Tottenham.
