Falcao on his way out, but why is he so highly sought after? Stats and video

Rumours are strengthening that Atletico Madrid and Colombia forward Radamel Forward will complete a move to Ligue 1 side Monaco this summer for a substantial transfer fee, but why is the 27-year-old commanding such a high fee? We take a look at why the former Porto man is one of the most sought after players in Europe right now.

The powerhouse striker has so far scored 28 goals in 33 La Liga games for Atleti with two more games until the campaign concludes, which is a pretty astonishing goals to game ratio. Falcao has a real bullish approach to the game and can lead the attack with vigour, something which is desired at Stamford Bridge as Fernando Torres and Demba Ba have flattered to deceive this season.

However, money talks in football and it is thought that mega-rich Monaco are ready to offer Falcao everything he could ever dream of, and more, should he move to the club in the coming weeks.

The former River Plate hit-man has created a further 32 chances, has a 56% shot accuracy and a pass accuracy of 80%.

You would have thought with all the money he earns, and will earn, he could afford a hair cut! Anyway, if stats don't impress you then here is a short clip of the man in action.
