A statistical look at what Javier Garrido offers Norwich

It has been announced that Norwich have secured a deal with Lazio to turn the full-back's loan deal into a permanent one. The former Manchester City man will link up with his colleagues after a summer of rest as they look to build on their finish of 11th, but for now we take a statistical look at what the Spaniard can offer the Canaries next year.

The 28-year-old played 34 games of the 38 last season and sculptured 22 chances for his teammates, although he failed to score himself. His experience was greatly appreciated by Norwich as he organised the backline and displayed his efficiency in the tackle with 35 of his 53 were successful.

However, he made two individual errors, one leading to a goal, and completely a dismal 77% of his passes, although the entire Norwich squad had a pretty low conversion rate. The Canaries and their fans will be thrilled with a finish of 11th after a few scares regarding relegation, but they will be looking to strengthen significantly over the summer to really solidify their status as a Premier League club.

Their aim will be to penetrate the top half of the table, and it looks as though Garrido will be a positive step in that direction.
