    Sinclair failure sparks Walcott panic

Manchester City's failure to agree a deal with Swansea City over wing target Scott Sinclair has caused the Champions to turn their attentions to Arsenal's contract rebel Theo Walcott.

Arsenal will re-open negotiations with the England man in face of City's interest as Walcott is in the final year of his current Emirates deal and has so far failed to agree terms on a new one despite negotiations over the summer.

After losing Adam Johnson to Sunderland, Roberto Mancini is desperate to add to his wide options and with Walcott reportedly holding out for a significant wage increase, Arsenal may be forced to sell as the transfer window ticks down, or risk losing him for free in January.
