Wenger still in the market for new players

Arsene Wenger has insisted that he is still interested in securing further summer signings but he would only make a move if the right quality player were available.

Wenger has already signed Lukas Podolski, Santi Carzola and Olivier Giroud this summer and the Frenchman is still in the market searching.

Arsenal are believed to have lost out to Liverpool in the race to sign Nuri Sahin on loan but not because Wenger is only in the market for a defensive midfielder.

Wenger insisted that he is in the market for quality rather than a specific position but has been linked with Newcastle central midfielders Cheick Tiote and Yohan Cabaye in today's papers.
