    Villas-Boas keen on midfield options

Spurs are another club in the market for a new midfielder, Andre Villas-Boas has said.

The Tottenham manager said that he would be keen on signing a new player in midfield as with Luka Modric and Tom Huddlestone looking likely to leave the club, Spurs could be left light in that area of their squad.

Villas-Boas said that deals would likely happen in the final few days of the transfer window.

The Portuguese also said that he would be happy to see Michael Dawson stay at the club despite allowing the centre half to talk terms with QPR earlier in the week with Stoke City and Sunderland also reportedly interested in the player.
