    Modric move to Madrid looming

Spurs are resigned to losing Luka Modric as talks between the Croatian playmaker and Real Madrid look to be reaching an end after the offer was raised to £30 million.

Andre Villas-Boas has said that he expects the long drawn-out deal to conclude soon and is ready to re-invest the fee back into his squad with Porto's Joao Moutinho and Rennes' Yann M'Vila on the White Hart Lane shopping list.

Modric has been subject to constant speculation after Spurs held off Chelsea's interest last summer, but this year they look to have failed in their quest to keep the 26 year old midfielder.
