Modric facing fine after refusing to train

Spurs Midfielder, Luka Modric will be fined in the region of £80,000 for refusing to train with the team.

It is believed Modric is trying to force through a move to Spanish champions, Real Madrid.

Tottenham chairmen, Daniel Levy, faces a second straight pre season battle to keep the Croatian playmaker, after last seasons stand off against Chelsea.

Levy emerged as the victor of that battle but now could lose the war, as Modric is reported to be desperate to leave White Heart Lane this summer.

Spurs have insisted they will not budge on their valuation of their star, which is about £40 million pounds. Madrid are unlikely to pay that much for him though, so Spurs fans are in for another uncertain few weeks.
