Barcelona set to test City relationships

If reports are to be believed there will be nobody bare YaYa Toure and Joe Hart left at Manchester City next season, with Vincent Kompany the latest player to be linked with a move away as The Mirror report interest from Barcelona.

It would seem that this seasons failed league form is likely to generate a mass culling at The Ethiad with the likes of Samir Nasri, Kolo Toure, Joleon Lescott and Edin Dzeko all being highly linked away. Now it seems the disbanding might be taken out of the clubs hands with Barcelona looking to take advantage of Kompany's failing relationship with the club and take the Belgium captain to the Nou Camp.

The Catalan giants are crying out for defensive reinforcements given that for a large majority of this campaign they have been severely lacking in options and in Kompany they will believe they have identified the perfect solution.

City might have been planning to clear out the deadwood, however losing Kompany would be nothing short of a disaster and they are unlikely to let him leave without a fight. With all this apparant activity at the Ethiad it looks like anyone's guess who will be lining up for the blue side of Manchester come next season, afterall there is nothing like mad panic in the face of adversity is they?
