    Clarke resigned to Lukaku exit

He is never one to be full of smiles and Steve Clarke has again been at his doomed forecasting best, with ESPN Soccernet reporting that the West Brom manager is preparing for life without on loan striker Romelu Lukaku.

To be fair to Clarke keeping the Belgium striker for longer than his year long development period was always going to a pipe dream, a thought that has been pushed even further into the clouds given the impressive form that the player has shown at The Hawthorns. Prior to his loan move the career of Lukaku was almost going stale as he got next to no game despite Fernando Torres and Daniel Sturridge struggling to score a goal between last year, this was despite Lukaku coming to the club with a huge reputation of one of Europe's top young talents.

However the Hawthorns has taken him under its wing and given him the little bit of love he was lacking at the Bridge and the results have been quite sensational with the striker leading the Baggies scoring charts. With that in mind it seems West Brom have served their purpose to Chelsea and the Blues might just be ready to finally give Lukaku his chance.
