Manchester United target tests Ferguson's patience

Some things in football you just don't do and making demands to Manchester United and Sir Alex Ferguson have got to be right up near the top of that list. That said, The Metro are reporting that this is something that Medhi Benatia has done, given that the Udinese defender has apparently stated that United need to come and sign him up sooner rather than later or risk him staying in Italy.

Holding Ferguson to ransom is hardly advice you would recommend so this behaviour is more than a little bit risky, even if a raft of reports in recent weeks have linked the defender with a move to Old Trafford. Further to this the player is rated as one of the best centre backs around Europe so it is not as if he has made his statement without anything to back it up. That said United do posses decent depth in central defence, whilst Ferguson has not been one to consistently look at Europe for the highest rated defensive talent

Come and get me pleas don't often work in football and they work even less when your aiming them at the greatest manager of them all, so for pure bravery alone you can't help but wish Medhi Benatia the very best of luck.
