    Bale to Real, done?

After months, nae, years of conjecture, The Mirror reports that Real Madrid have moved ahead in the race to sign Spurs flyer, Gareth Bale.

All bets are off as Los Merengues appear to have pulled out the big guns and offered Jose Callejon to the North London team in part exchange. What do you mean ’who’?

Callejon has actually had a decent season at the Bernabeu, formerly a bit part player, his bit has been slightly larger and tastier this year but the notion that he is a deal breaker is, let’s just say unlikely.

The need every day to come up with a different angle on the Bale transfer situation means that Callejon probably won’t be the last pawn dangled up for consumption.

Daniel Levy is alleged to have put a £100million price tag on the player to ward off potential buyers.  I don’t quite understand the need to do this, if they come calling, just say he’s not for sale and then don’t sell him that to me would be a simpler way of warding off potential buyers.

This, no doubt like the Welshman himself will continue to run and run, and resolution will only be provided at the end of the transfer window in August. If he does stay at White Hart Lane however be prepared for that resolution to be brief.
