    Spurs unsure on left-back solution

Recent news suggests that Tottenham's Assou-Ekotto may be on his way out of White Hart Lane at the end of the season and with Danny Rose's loan deal at the Stadium of Light expiring at the end of the season, could it mean a possible starting spot when he returns to the lily whites?

I hope he does, with a stellar season at Sunderland, he seems to be a decent enough player. In my opinion, he is already better defensively compared to Ekotto and i don't think AVB will be that happy to convert Vertonghen into a left back completely due to his clearly evident dominance as a centre back. Danny Rose can certainly hold weight going forward, as an Arsenal fan, he can certainly find the back of the net from great distances, although, that is his only senior club goal...Damn.
But reports suggest that AVB is looking for a more experienced left back and setting his sights on the Uruguayan Pereira who worked under him at Porto. So next season could hold another loan spell for the young left back who is on his way to the European U21 championship and being deemed "too important to leave out" by Stuart Pearce, even though he is banned from the first group stage game. Hopefully, I hope he is given a fair crack of the whip at Tottenham and not always farmed out to other clubs.
